IT HAPPENED!

The notification we've been waiting for finally appeared.

New Order Received.

And this time it wasn't us testing the website.

It wasn't another test payment.

It was real.

Somebody had actually placed an order!

Order Number One

There's something quite special about your first order.

Hopefully, there will eventually be hundreds — and maybe thousands — of orders going through the shop.

But there will only ever be one first order.

After all the planning, building and testing, somebody had visited the website, looked through our products and decided to buy from us.

That's a pretty brilliant feeling.

Time to Get It Packed

Of course, celebrating had to wait for a moment because we now had a job to do.

Our first customer was waiting!

We picked the order, checked everything carefully and got it ready for packing.

And we'll admit it…

We probably checked this parcel more times than we'll ever check another parcel!

Everything had to be right.

Product checked.

Packaging checked.

Address checked.

One final check.

And then it was ready to go.

Our First Parcel Is on Its Way

And just like that, our first real order left us and started its journey to our first customer.

That's when it really sank in.

The little idea we started with had become a real business.

Someone had found our website.

Someone had trusted us enough to place an order.

And now our first parcel was on its way to them.

You probably didn't realise quite how exciting seeing your order arrive was for us!

And thank you to everyone who's visited the shop, shared it, given us feedback or supported us while we've been getting everything ready.

This might be the end of our “Building Our Shop” series…

…but it's really only the beginning of the story.

We've got lots more planned.

More products.

More ideas.

More improvements.

And, hopefully…

a lot more parcels to pack! 📦
