We Have an Idea…

Every new business, project or adventure has to start somewhere.

For us, it started with a simple thought:

“What if we built our own online shop?”

At first, it was just an idea. One of those conversations where you start throwing ideas around, talking about the products we could offer, what the website might look like and whether people would actually want to buy from us.

But the more we talked about it, the more the idea started to make sense.

So, We’re Building an Online Shop!

Rather than quietly building everything behind the scenes and suddenly announcing that our new shop is open, we thought we'd do something a little different.

We're going to take you along for the journey.

From the original idea and planning, through building and testing the website, right up to the moment we switch everything live.

And hopefully, at some point after that, we'll get to write the blog post we're really looking forward to:

“Our first order has arrived!”

There's a Lot to Work Out

Of course, saying “let's build an online shop” is the easy bit.

Now we need to work out exactly what we're going to sell, how the website should look, how customers will pay, how we're going to package and deliver orders and about a hundred other little things we probably haven't thought about yet.

There will almost certainly be things that don't go according to plan.

There will probably be ideas that sound brilliant today and get completely changed tomorrow.

But that's part of building something new.

What Happens Next?

The next step is turning our idea into an actual plan.

We'll be looking at the products we want to offer, how we want the shop to work and, most importantly, what we can do to make buying from us simple and enjoyable.

We'll keep sharing the journey as we go — including the good bits, the problems and probably a few mistakes along the way.

The idea is here. Now it's time to turn it into something real.
